ATF: From my point of view.
I recently had the chance to travel to ATL for Sneaker Friends. It was an amazing experience and opportunity for both me personally and for the company I represent; Sneaker Box aka Inside The Sneaker Box. ATF is probably the one most well know “Sneaker Crews” for lack of a better word; besides my dudes from the #HeatSeekersKrew Here’s my take on what I think about them; from my PERSONAL experience.
Mayor:
Ok, like I’ve always said. I’m not a know it all type of guy. I got a few pair of kicks. I love sneakers; and I document life on film. I just recently learned about Mayor. I mean I heard of ATF from a looooong time ago and I always knew that Clark was involved but i didn’t know who the whole crew consisted of. To me IMO(in my opinion) Mayor is cool as dude. His sneaker game is crazy, He’s not a jerk. He’s funny as shit., He gives away GOD only knows how many pair of sneakers, He supports good people and this thing we call the “Sneaker Cutlture” People say he’s cocky; but to me its a playful cocky; to me its an NYC sense of humor thing; and I get it. By the way, I’m from Miami. Yeaaaah! side bar…( Mayor; Good lookin’ on calling me live during your Ustream on May 24th to wish us a Happy 1 year Anniversary. You didn’t have to and you did. Good lookin’ in ATL for getting everyone together for us for the drop and the mini talk we had. DOPE! Thanks for the support. We will continue to do the same.)
DJ Clark Kent:
Obviously, I’ve know about Clark for some time now. I mean; He is a very famous DJ. I like that Clark has a place in Hip Hop history since that is my 1st love. (music that it is) Don’t get it twisted. LOL (as Clark would say, yeeeeeoooooo! [No Bruno] I’ve met him before; when Art & Water Miami turned into Vice Miami and before that turned into Inside The Sneaker Box. I met him at Sneaker Pimps. He gave away the Yeezy’s off his feet; sz 12 to lucky dude in the crowd. He took a picture with my girl and over all was very cool. Fast Forward a year or so later. 4 Seasons in, Clark now knows who I am. And that is awesome. He’s been very supportive of what we’re doing; and I respect and appreciate that. I see some of these interviews online and I also see some of these comments bashing him. I think to myself WOW! why? I totally disagree with all the negative statements I’ve been seeing in the C-section of other sites. Clark is actually a good dude. He has that same playful/cocky way about him. But like I said, its just a sense of humor thing; and I get that. I’m the same way. I have a very dry sense of humor and can be really sarcastic; but it’s all in fun. Those who know me; know. I like the work that he’s put out with Nike. He’s come along way and has opened door for a lot of us. The other day I call a call from a number that wasn’t in my phone and that I did not recognize; a 917 number. Low and behold, it was Clark. Somehow he got my number. ( i know how now. Clark. lol) Anyways; He called to just say whats up, wish us a Happy 1 year Anniversary also and to just chop it up. I respect that and that lets me know that what I think about him is true. He’s just a regular cool, down to earth dude who has a lot of sneakers, and is willing to help and support those who are actually trying to do something. Thats awesome! I applaud that. I can go on forever but, I’ll stop there…
All Day:
Name: Frank
Age: ?? Unknown (he is young)
Occupation: Shoe Game Killer!
Known facts: He cops anywhere from 25-42 pairs of the same shoe in full size runs & He barely talks. Cool dude. I got a chance to meet him in ATL also. He may have said 2 words to me. “Whats up” LOL
DJ Greg Street:
Everyone knows Greg. If you don’t, where have you been? Greg has been doing his thing for a while now. Greg is a very cool dude. He’s also showed us a lot of love. When that video came out of Greg showing what Compound looked like and I saw Inside The Sneaker Box in the credits; I FLIPPED! That alone made my week. Also, when that video came out of Greg going into the New Area ATL store previewing the “Sneaker Friends” fitted and he said Inside The Sneaker Box when he held up the Florida fitted. I FLIPPED! again. That was love. He didn’t have to do that at all. When we got to Atlanta, Greg was an awesome host. He made sure people knew who we were if they already didn’t. He was very humble when he didn’t have to be. For that, I’ll always support Sneaker Friends and all his endeavors.
*We know ATF includes Safe, Bun, Chi, Feets, Dave, and a bunch more.. you aren’t forgotten.

ATF set the bar in the sneaker community not because of what they have (shoes) but because of the bond they have together in that movement. I respect each of them and they are all humble dudes no matter what’s going on. I chopped it up with Mayor a few times on his show but im looking forward to meeting him and the rest of the crew when I get back to the states. Thanks for keeping it real at all times.
Damn I was just looking for some info about all day…..
Seriously though. I think that explains them real well. I have come to know mayor and he is one of the realest dudes I ever met. When I finally got te meet him in person it was quite the experience, dude has a following and he had earned it 100%. From the small talks I’ve had with Greg he seems the same exact way. Same with Clark.
Good read Clyde. Now imma have to get back to writing : )
dope article… i usually dont comment i just read and keep it moving, i didnt know tht the sneaker community was this big… shocked never met the guys but i always watch mayor’s ustream and he got a “stupid nice” collection. Always knew about Greg Streets cause im from Augusta/Carolina area but i aint know he had it like tht… Bun also is one of my rap favs…. just learning about all the rest of the dudes… stay fresh my g’s i salute your grind…..
IMO the ATF stands alone. I don’t wish to be mentioned
in the same sentence, paragraph, or anything with those
guys. LOL. Maybe 10 years from now. Clark, Greg, &
Mayor are just cool people & that’s respectable…
I honestly wanna say you knocked it out the park. Your point of view on each ATF member is spot on. Mayor has the NY mental, hell I should know me & him go at it every time we talk. Clark is so down to earth its not even funny. Like you said AllDay doesn’t talk I know more about him from @AirMaxKid than I do from talking to him. Well Street I Strret. That dude is trying to put us ALL on. He looks out for eveyone. The article was a good read. Thanks for doing it & thanks for shouting out #HeatSeekersKrew. One day I hope to meet them…hahaha
These guys just know what people mean when they say you earn respect by giving respect. They show love for the game and everyone in it, and get it back tenfold.
All very cool dudes! I’m going to keep it short and to the point –> ATF Crew = G.O.A.T.!!
I can always look forward to seeing the Mayor’s new pick-ups on his Ustream. He ALWAYS has some exclusive sneakers. The ATF crew inspires me to step my kick game up and at the same time be humble. Mad Respect!!!
Ya know my story, been collecting for years but new to the sneaker community in general. So ATF was new to me until I started chillen on Twitter and watched the Ustream’s and hearing about the Sneaker Friends Tour. I would have to say the ATF crew is very diverse and represent something great for the community. Of course they all from the EAST COAST lol lol but nah, they just seem to be down to earth and not stuck up like some people might get if they had been in the spotlight for a good min.
Thank for giving the backgrounds on these people as it gives more incite to those who are new to the community and to those who are lookin to find out the mystery about ATF. .
All I have to say is ATF move over #QUETAL in the house.. JK JK JK JK..
ATF is a legend in the community and a mold that other groups should strive to take pointers from and make it their own.
My boy Clyde, great thoughts and writing son. I, for one, am envious, not in a bad way, but in a awww shucks kinda way. Clyde got to go to the ATL with Joe for Sneaker Friends. I was so heartbroken because I wanted to go so badly, but my cousin’s wedding was the same weekend. I’m so happy that Clyde and Joe got to meet them and hang out with them and put names and faces together. I’m still waiting for that opportunity, hopefully one day this will come true. I think it shows how much class and respect the dudes have when they called Clyde to congratulate on the 1 year anniversary. That’s something real and for someone that I know like my boy Clyde, that’s just inspiration to keep hustlin’ and make dreams, realities. And yes, hopefully one day I’ll be somewhere near 10% of what these dudes rock!!! And well this kid from Inside the Sneaker Box wants to say thanks to them and all for the mad love and support. I’ve met some incredible people just via Twitter thanks to Sneaker Box. I hope I get to meet more. Much love.
