The Inspiration

adidas Originals celebrates the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™ with the release of the Battle Pack. Inspired by adidas’ uncompromising ‘#allIn or Nothing’ campaign, the adidas Originals Battle Pack consists of five iconic silhouettes in bold war-paint patterns. Each shoe is then rendered in black and white with fire gold accents to represent the tournament trophy. With each shoe a certified adidas Originals icon – the Stan Smith, Rivalry Hi, Samba Super, Superstar 80s and ZX 5000 RSPN – the spirit of victory drives to the core of the Pack. It’s a fitting tribute to the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™ tournament – one made with the spirit of a champion. The three below styles are to be released in only 15 boutiques across the US. Our friends over at Uptown Sneaker Boutique will have them; May 24th. #allin

Stan Smith is one of the most recognizable models within the adidas history, which has its roots on the tennis court. Launched in the early 70’s under “stan smith” the model still continues to be an iconic, stylish retro shoe. Usually made with a classic white leather upper and laces, it is redesigned and plays with the same design language as e soccer Predator shoe. Keeping the typical cap sole, it plays with a plain black upper with retro white embossed all- over snake pattern. Unique details such as the see-through heel tab logo or the suede tongue matches the identity of the model as perfectly as the story behind it. Que to the battle inspiration, this Stan Smith comes without the three rows of perforations which usually has the same pattern that should symbolize the three ordinary stripes. It is more clean and therefore ready to battle.
