adidas + Chelsea Soccer Club Unveil New Home Shirt for the 2015/16 Season
Adidas Soccer has unveiled the 2015-16 home kit for Premier League champions Chelsea Football Club. This year’s theme is titled “If it not blue, it will be” as part of Chelsea’s push to be the dominant club side in England and Europe. The shirt made it’s on pitch debut vs. the New York Red Bulls in a 4-2 defeat last night. Regardless, no one at Chelsea is shaking in their boots as they are once again amongst the favourites to lift the Premier League title once again. The campaign which is a part of the #BeTheDifference campaign has social media elements including Vine videos featuring Chelsea stars such as Diego Costa, Oscar, John Terry, amongst others where they turn everything from cars to kits from red to blue. It definitely looks like a knock to Manchester United’s lack of form in recent seasons. This season’s home kit features the traditional blue while taking inspiration from several of the side’s classic 1980s kits. The shirt also features red and white trim on the collar and sleeves. One unique addition that Adidas has brought is that each shirt has a finger print woven onto a label. Adidas wants to reflect the club’s connection with its supporters by implementing this unique feature. Climacool technology is also part of this kit in addition to the latest performance technologies developed by Adidas.
