A Nike iD Love Story.

So this love story goes a little something like this:

When I was a little kid, I watched my brother for hours on end call every store in all of Los Angeles and its surrounding areas looking for the holy grail of a shoe at the time, the Nike Air Jordan 11 Black/Red. When he finally obtained them and I saw that shine, and I smelled that fresh smell, I knew I was hooked.

Fast forward years later, I decide to get back in touch with my love for kicks and joined in with InsideTheSneakerbox, flaming that childhood butterfly feeling once again.

As an ode to my older brother who I love dearly, I decided to design some NikeiD’s for him every year for his birthday, the SHARK30′s being the pair I’m crushing on most. (Shark is his nickname and he turned 30).

Decided to get frisky with that little crush I had and order a pair for myself, marking the beginning of my journey’s with InsideTheSneakerbox, and the ‘QUEENDOM‘

The wait was finally over, my excitement couldn’t get any higher, and the shoes finally arrived. I opened up the box and it was just as I expected, a beaut! Until I tried them on. Way too big. Now I’m thinking, haha it really is like a real crush, right? I find a guy, I crush on him, he is great on paper, but after you try him on you realize it doesn’t fit right. (Too big? #PAUSE! lmao.)

So then came the dilemma, break-up or make-up? Long story short, I kept’em, flaws and all, and so our love continues.

The love story ends here and we will live happily ever after. Try THAT ONE on for size! Ha!
