The Nike Total Air Pillar makes a return. Back from 1998, the wait is over. I’ve personally been looking for an OG pair for quite a while now. I have still yet find a pair in my size. I guess these retro 2012′s will have to do. These will be the first of a a few very nice colors that will eventually make their way to retail. Thank you Nike Sportswear.

[...] The Nike Air Max Pillar is another one of those 90′s classics you’ve been waiting to see in the retro era and on July 14th, the 1998 classic returns in it’s OG colorway. This upcoming Air Max Pillar retro features a Neutral Grey upper, with Volt accents which was a popular color for some of the newer models in the late 90′s. These are set to retail at $180 and will release at select retailers like Mr. R Sports. Check out the photos after the Jump and let us know if you’ll be purchasing this classic. Via ITSB [...]

[...] 2012 is proving to be one amazing year for sneaker re-issues as Nike has opened up the chapter covering 1995 to 1998, which some may claim is the best span of sneaker releases in Nike history. The Nike Air Max Pillar is rightfully included in that span as this ’98 original took Nike Trainers to an unforeseen level with its futuristic design and Tuned Air unit (Tuned Air displaced different Air Psi in the Unit to conform to the foot form), andwith the confirmed release for July 24th, the ‘to-do’ list for Nike Trainer fans is piling up! Priced at a hefty $180 (perhaps the cost of rebuilding the original mold) is one hurdle to jump over, but for some, the price is likely a non-issue because the Pillars hold that holy ‘grail’ status to a select few. A first detailed look at the Air Max Pillar in the OG colorway is just ahead, so enjoy the show and stay tuned to Sneaker News for all sneaker news and updates! Photos: itsb [...]

[...] It seems Nike are on a mission to gratify the most grandiose of gridiron-loving sneakerhead dreams in 2012. After the triumphant return of Deion Sanders’ Diamond Turf 2s and Dan Marino’s Speed Turf Max, the Swoosh are going all-out with Heisman Trophy winner Charles Woodson’s Total Air Pillar. Rebranded as the Air Max Pillar, the sneaker will return in the familiar Michigan Wolverines colours, as well as this Neutral Grey / Volt variation.
